Winter Has Arrived!

After much anticipation we got a nice snowstorm over the weekend. The kids have been outside playing every chance they get making snow forts and snowboard ramps in the backyard. The joys of winter!!

Last night for Family Home Evening we went to Old Main Hill and stayed way past the kids' bedtime. Someone had spent some time making some great jumps. Cole and Aidan never tired of climbing that hill to catch some air. Oh, how I wish I had their energy AND their enthusiasm for the snow. After some encouragement from Daddy, Sadie had a great time too, making tracks with her skis. She remembers how to use them and was soon full of laughs and giggles.

And then there is one of the not so joyous aspects of winter....the WET boots, gloves, hats, mittens, socks, coats, and snowpants.

Fishing at King Park

It is VERY cold here...20 degrees tonight on our way home from picking out our Christmas tree. I'm so glad we took advantage of the semi-warm weather on Wednesday to get some fresh air and sunshine. The fish didn't bite...but we still had fun
Grandpa Murray...all bundled up
We drank lots of mini cups of hot cocoa
Some of us ran up and down the mountain and some of us watched

Giving Thanks in St. George

Thanks to our soccer playing cousin, Sophie, and to Maggie and Scott's hospitality we were treated to a nice stay in St. George for the extended Thanksgiving Break. It was awesome.

We....

Climbed on Red Rocks
Biked in Beautiful Snow Canyon
Took in Some Gorgeous Sunsets

Bundled Sam up for a morning bike ride
Enjoyed our new, adorable cousin, Lena
Gave the babies, (Lena, Sam, and Amelia) a very bubbly bath
Climbed at Chuckawalla Wall

Skated at the Park

Biked on the Bearclaw Poppy (We think that is a very funny name by the way)
Looked at the Lights on Temple Square (on the way home)
Had the best time with our cousins (thank you for letting us tag along)
