Cocoa

Aidan grooming our new horse on Christmas morning.
We had something special on our front doorstep Christmas morning.....a miniature horse, named Cocoa. The kids were super surprised and super excited. They had no idea they would be getting a horse and asked over and over if it was really theirs. Cocoa has been the perfect pet and has given the kids hours of fun and enjoyment. She's small enough that they can all ride on her, even little Sam. And she's big enough to handle more than one rider at a time. She is friendly, calm, and gentle, but we've also seen that she can run when she wants to. We're having a lot of fun with her.

and Avalanche. They seem to get along just fine.

I am dying right now. DYING. You seriously got your kids a pony for Christmas. Isn't that every kids dream? You are now #1 in my book. You are amazing. Where do you keep cocoa? I still can't believe you had a horse on your doorstep Christmas morning. HA! Awesome.

Julie, It really was awesome and I wish I could take all the credit, but the horse was all Jason's idea. Jason and Grandma Murray were the ones who made it all happen...just in time too. They made the deal with the previous owner on Christmas Eve. We keep Cocoa on some land right next to Grandma Murray's house....so it's still pretty convenient. Next time you're in Logan, let us know, so your girls can come have a ride!
